About Me
Growing up in north Cardiff I spent a lot of time in my father’s stained glass workshop in Rhydfelin. Watching him over his drawing board, make frames and create beautiful pieces had a definitive effect on my adult life and how I view the world!
During lockdown we moved into a new house and decided to spend a few weeks making some furniture for our living room.
During this time I was in college studying mechanical engineering where I picked up a lot of skills doing engineering drawing plans and found great pleasure in perfecting these in detail.
In September 2025 I began my joinery level 1 course at NCC in Hoxton, Hackney. This course was when I really fell in love with woodworking and discovered I wanted to be a fine furniture maker.
I have ammased a big collection of traditional hand tools from auctions and restored them to be fit for use. It is extremely important to me to keep these tools and traditions alive. Theres something special about the mind-body connection when perfecting the use of a hand tool that has been passed down from generation to generation.
I have been fortunate enough to utilise the garage space at my flat as a workshop where I find myself drawing designs, studying textbooks and perfecting the techniques neccesary to create great pieces.
At this early stage in my career I have found it easier to source recyclced materials for my projects, this has sparked a big inspiration - due to limeted budget it makes me think outside the box of whats really possible with small off cuts or unwanted work tops.
Currently, I am building my portfolio up to apply for a fine furniture course at the British Crafts college and looking for clients for small furniture projects that are budget friendly.
